Build vs. Backdrop: What Would Your Office Wall Cost?
A designed office wall usually means a designer, a carpenter, and days of cutting, painting and drying. We priced out our backdrops as if you built them for real — so you can see what the look on your camera actually costs.
We're not comparing a printed backdrop to built-in furniture. We're comparing what your camera sees.
A professional office that moves with you
A built wall is tied to your address. When you move, it stays behind — and if you rent, you may have to pay to undo it before you hand back the keys. It can't come with you to a beach house, a hotel or a client's office, and it looks the same forever.
A QuickStudio backdrop comes down in minutes, folds into a bag with the spare mounting squares from the box, and goes up again wherever you take the call. Same office on every call — or a completely different one whenever you want.
How we price each wall
We price only the area your camera sees — the same 76 × 43 in as the backdrop. Every material is a specific Home Depot item at Florida prices from September 2026. Labor is the only part that varies, so each page shows the full market range for carpentry and design and uses the middle of it for the comparison. Books and décor are left out, so the real number would be higher.
A QuickStudio backdrop is made for the camera: in person it's printed fabric, and on a video call it gives you the look of the built wall without building it.
More comparisons are on the way.
